late night update

So...Last night I spent with some family...actually the night before too...ok...so I suppose I should start with Wednesday.

Wed- I called up an old friend that runs a local club night on wednesday's to see If I could pick up one of the "time slots" to DJ...I had my cousin from Italy in town along with a close friend of his. Turns out they're both big "house" music fans....particularly the jazzy down-beat stuff that I play these days. So I wanted to have a show for them to attend.

The whole evening turned out great. All my friends...specifically the female ones...got a big kick out of how similar (as in how big of flirts) they are to me. They barely speak a "lick" of english...but they enjoyed it (and the company) just the same.

Coincidentally, the cousin I speak of is the one that runs the family winery in Tuscany...(dont know if i've mentioned all this before...I usually dont...it always sounds like i'm bragging...but i'm a little "tipsy"...so what the hell)....and I've been invited out again this fall to help with the grape harvest...and even cooler...his friend has a friend (confused yet) that runs a "discoteque" in milan...and is going to get me a "gig" out there....superfun!

Thrs- spent at a fundraiser for a (somewhat) local symphony that involved a huge five-course meal with the family wine to accompany...my cousin as the guest of honor. We (the whole fam) had to sit in a focal point in the room...a tad uncomfortable when eating...but bearable.

Anyhow...I just like that someday...as the wine spreads accross the US...(my father only recently began it's importation into the US)...hopefully friends will see my last name on the corks of wine they order at dinner.

*I cant help but think of my "ex" (or any ex or friend for that matter) on a date with a boyfriend...he orders wine...it's got my name all over it...she explains...oh...that wine is made by my "ex" at his families vinyard...uncomfortable silence ensue's...muah haha...ok...dumb fantasy...i know...whatcha gonna do...like I said...I'm drunk*

yeah...the key here...is blah, blah, blah...

school is booring...I'm used to working 65-70 hrs a week jugling both relationship and friend obligations....now, it's just me n' school...most of my friends are gone or married...the "ex" is gone...and my two-day a week job isn't stressfull...all I do is school stuff...i'm bored...so i'm a week ahead in all my classes...I got nuttin else to do. Well that, and my cultivation of a liver disease...which MUST be well on it's way be now!

yeah, so this post is no longer going anywhere...so lets just end it.

*i really gotta stop typing these things at 4am after working*

See and you thought I'd gone and fell off the planet. No, just lost the link to your blog, but crafty gal that I am, I found it again. Good to see you in good spirits. No pressure or anything, but I've decided to live vicariously through you for a while.

jenn- I was wondering where you'd gotten off too...you're allowed to live vicariously through me...although, you'll find it to be a sad and lonely affair...that mainly consists of school, alcoholism, the weekend bar shifts (serving college morons), and the occasional "pine-ing" over my ex...not all that entertaining...although, everyone i know seems to think my life is fantastic...whatever...I did have 4 girls nonchalantly (or obviously, depending on drunken state) hand me their phone numbers tonight...none i'd call though...such is life. Either way, glad to see you re-join the world of the virtual.

Can you blog from Milan? What a fantastic opportunity. My family is from various places in Europe, it's great having the chance to go anywhere on the other side of the pond. Enjoy!
